Our read on the Los Angeles Angels

The Angels had the most right-handed lineup in baseball in 2025: against right-handed starters they started 0.96 left-handed hitters per game on average, the fewest of the 30 clubs. Against left-handers the figure was 0.89, so the opposing starter's hand changed their lineup's make-up less than almost anywhere else.

Their rotation was the most concentrated in the league: the five most frequent starters, led by Yusei Kikuchi with 33 starts, made 89% of all starts. Zach Neto led off 109 times, and the leadoff hitter matched the previous game 89% of the time, tied for fifth highest. The open spots were second base, third base and right field, where no one started half the games. Mike Trout made 106 of the DH starts (65%).
