Privacy policy
Short version: LineupMeter has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Who we are
LineupMeter is an independent website operated from Sweden. LineupMeter is the data controller for the personal data processed through this site, and the data controller can be reached at hello@lineupmeter.com. This policy is governed by Swedish law, and our supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
What we collect
- Hosting and security data. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which acts as our data processor. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report network errors to Cloudflare (Network Error Logging), so that it can detect delivery problems.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. Mail to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail).
That is all. We do not use analytics or visitor statistics, we have no user accounts, forms or comments, and our pages run no scripts and load nothing from other websites.
Why we process it
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in running a secure, working website and, for email, in answering you.
How long we keep it
- Hosting and security data: Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf only as long as needed to deliver and protect the site. We do not keep visitor logs ourselves. Under Cloudflare's data processing addendum, Cloudflare processes personal data only to provide its services, keeps it until that is no longer necessary or our agreement with Cloudflare ends, and then deletes or returns it, except where the law requires Cloudflare to keep it.
- Email: the only personal data we keep ourselves is email sent to us and, for privacy requests, a short record that the request was handled. We keep your message and email address only as long as needed to reply and to handle any correction, question or privacy request you sent, and then delete it. For privacy requests we keep a short record that the request was handled for as long as we need to show that we complied.
Service providers and transfers
Cloudflare, Inc. is our hosting provider and forwards our email; Google provides the mailbox where that email is received. Both may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See each company's privacy policy for details.
We do not sell or share personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have not done so in the past 12 months. If that ever changes, for example when advertising is added, we will update this policy first and provide the opt-out choices those laws require, including honoring Global Privacy Control signals.
Advertising (coming later)
We plan to fund LineupMeter with display advertising. No ads run today. Before any ads go live we will update this policy and our cookie policy, name the advertising partners and what they process, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Children
LineupMeter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Residents of some US states have similar rights under state law, including the right to know and to delete. Email us at the address above; we will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Our supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
Changes
If we add advertising or anything else that changes how data is handled, we will update this page (and the cookie policy) before that change goes live, and ask for consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows the latest version.
