A record of past seasons, not a forecast: 2027 projections will be added once rosters take shape. About these team pages.

Our read on the New York Mets

Francisco Lindor led off 133 times for the Mets in 2025, and the leadoff hitter matched the previous game 92% of the time, fourth highest. Only 19 players started a game as a batter, second fewest in the league, but positions moved within that group: at catcher, second base and third base no one started half the games, and Luis Torrens led the catchers with 72 starts.

The opposing starter's hand mattered. Starling Marte started 87% of games against left-handers and 29% against right-handers, and was the most frequent DH (66 starts); Brett Baty went the other way (78% against right-handers, 34% against left-handers). On the mound, 17 pitchers made a start, tied for third most, and only 18% of starts came on four days of rest or fewer, third lowest. Clay Holmes led with 31 starts.
